Bill Vasilieff started his career in 1976 after university in a role that is now known as an independent financial adviser — pre-Financial Services Act (1986). He trained and qualified (1986) as an actuary but quickly moved to marketing.
He worked for three life companies before moving to M&G in 1993, where he was an executive director in marketing.
Vasilieff was one of four founders of Selestia in 2001 when he held the role of marketing director.
He started Novia Financial in 2008 followed by Copia and Novia Global and built the original Aegon platforms.
Vasilieff stepped down from the helm of Novia Financial in September this year.
