Katey Pigden is an award-winning journalist, editor and communications professional. She is content director at Octo Members, a community network for those working in financial services and an ambassador for the National Council for the Training of Journalists. She has chaired several industry events and regularly shares the stories of financial advisers and planners, alongside interviewing senior leaders across financial services. Katey covers a variety of topics from regulation and technology to platforms and protection. She has been producing content about the sector since 2019, when she joined Money Marketing as news editor.

She later became editor and oversaw a revamp of the publication which was recognised as B2B title of the year at the 2022 Headlinemoney Awards.

Katey has also worked in PR as an account director at the Lang Cat where she looked after several financial services clients. Her earlier career was as a newspaper journalist covering everything from court cases to local community initiatives on regional titles in South Wales before she moved into business publications for the hospitality and utility sectors.
