Paul has spent his career working with Intermediaries in both sales and management roles. First with a life office, then joining one of the first wrap platforms. An interest in investing led him into asset management and more recently the tax efficient solutions market.

In many ways his career reflects the evolution of the provider market, from simple packaged life assurance and pension plans offering a handful of funds to a huge range of extremely sophisticated tools, funds, and solutions to help clients achieve more than ever before.

Paul joined Octopus in 2021 believing it’s vision of putting clients first, along with its emphasis on investing in the people, ideas and industries that can change the world, marked the company out from the crowd. Paul commented, “I’ve been very lucky to have worked with some fantastic people but, all the time, have been aware of the impact culture, innovation and customer care has on client experiences and outcomes. I instantly recognised these characteristics and values in Octopus.”

Paul is married to Karen, with whom he has 3 sons and outside of work, in between family, he plays football, tennis (both very badly) and listens to an eclectic range of music, most of which annoys his long-suffering wife.
